Have you decided to wear a nail cross during Lent this season? There is both an internal and external component to wearing a cross intentionally. Wear it well! Pray as you put it on. Pray to live up to the high calling of carrying a cross like our Founder. Pray for opportunities to share why you're wearing it (my pastor made me!) a worthiness to carry it. And then share your thoughts, emotions, experiences, conversations in the comment section below (even if nothing profound happens - share your thoughts) . . .

I wore my cross necklace to work at Chipotle and had three customers tell me that they liked it.
I have worn the cross everyday and I have found that I hold it in my hands and say the Lords prayer. I do not forget I have it on because it has some weight to it, more so than wearing my "fancy" crosses. I think it makes me think about why I am wearing it and I feel humbled.
My cross broke on the first Monday, well the cord anyway. I ended up hanging it in the doorway of my classroom by a sign that says "world's best teacher," given to me by a student I am totally failing. A student I still loose my patiene with, a student I still am not sure I totally believe in, a student I am told..."not every kid can be saved." ugh...
I have been wearing my metal Emmaus cross in the mean time, popped a kid in the head with it yesterday and it hits me when I dance for our good morning song.
Had a few conversations about my tattoo on Reading Night with some parents. One asked me about my trip and told me he has always been worried about going on a trip, even though his church has "tons of them all the time."
Another family is a Jehovah's witness family that I taught last year. They are an amazing family and after holding the new baby they asked what it was and what it meant...most people don't ask what it means...so I talked to them about Daniel and not hiding who you are. He agreed that most people lives their lives hiding their faith. He said he didn't have me pegged for a guy who gets tattoos...:-) 12 sittings and counting...
A few other families just asked if it was new and then we talked about their tattoos.
This being public makes me a little guarded to write...

love that Mikey's teacher was going to ask him to put away his "headphones" until she realized it was a cross.
love that Leigh's cross is holding him accountable with his co-workers and he invited them into his experiment.
love that Terri has kids asking her for a cross.
love that Cody realizes he is an ambassador for Jesus when he wears his cross and is seeking to be a model of Christian love.
love that some of you are publicly acknowledging your faith for the first time.
